Support Groups

Any person is at risk of being involved in an accident or situation which can dramatically change the way they live their lives. CORE Ireland work with a number of groups who offer support to those people. Below are a list of support groups available both locally and Nationally.

National Learning Network

Do you need extra supports to get a qualification and to get and keep a job?  If so, one of National Learning Network’s (NLN) 50 training centres around the country could be the answer and we have one right in Navan.

National Learning Network provides mental health services within its extensive range of QQI accredited courses across a range of levels. All of our managers, instructors, rehabilitation officers, resource teachers, social skills facilitators, psychologists and advocacy officers have had extensive training in this field.

Weekly Open Days on Wednesday from 10-12 at our Kennedy House Location (above the Navan Court House.)

Active Retirement Ireland

Active Retirement Ireland will reach out to all older people to stop loneliness through friendship and support” – Mission Statement, Active Retirement Ireland Strategic Plan.

All the activities are aimed at keeping older people active and well. Active Retirement Associations are a lifeline for many older people who would otherwise feel isolated and lonely.

Each of the 550+ local associations is run by a committee of volunteers. These are self-organised and independent local groups whose members decide the activities on offer.
